Designing the cards in the Canva app was something I had fun doing! I was able to coordinate the colors with the different aspects (or areas) the cards represent. I started with a solid background but that seemed a little bit too plain. I wanted something that had a lot of movement and just a nice feel to it. So I went with a background of the deck and used a colored tint to match the color of the card. I already had a template from the prototype cards, so it was just a matter of tweaking the design and the overall look, adding outline to the title letters so that they stand out, repositioning the numbers so that they were better able to be seen, and things of that nature.

Ordering the prints to see how they would look was a real treat! I was excited to be able to hold them and use them. This is when I decided that 26 cards would not be enough, but when I put the original prototype deck with a doubled LuDiva deck it was actually way too many cards. 54 a wound up being the sweet spot I landed on. Numerology-wise I liked it because 13 + 13 for each of the positive and negative cards is 26. Then you have 26 + 26 which is 54. That felt really energetically sound to me. 54 cards made it feel more like a usual deck of US playing cards, and also allowed me to be able to have enough cards in the event that you needed more than one instance of that message in your spread or in your reading.

LuDiva has been a passion project of mine from the beginning of my journey into tarot card reading. Having a system that was created to make card reading simpler, visually connecting the colors, the names correlating to what you see, and the feeling of the card having a character that I could resonate within therefore many others more than likely would be able to as well, instilled in me a sense of purpose, belonging and power.

I really hope that these cards can also bring a positive feeling to whoever obtains them. I think they are awesome as a deck and can be easily utilized for readings with the ability to translate their energy from you to the person that you are reading for whether that's someone else or yourself.

I will definitely post more about LuDiva as the launch approaches! I'm really excited for this project. I can't wait to add more goodies as accessories or accompaniments to this really powerful deck!
